"How about you make a shot first, Devin Booker?!" Jeff Van Gundy hilariously roasts the Phoenix Suns star after an abysmal showing in game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks

Jeff Van Gundy brutally roasts Phoenix Suns star, Devin Booker, during live coverage of game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks

As brilliant as Devin Booker and the Suns have been so far, this just wasn’t their night.

Milwaukee had been punched in the mouth for two games straight, so a reaction was dearly due. And boy did that reaction come today.

The Bucks came out firing in the first, but Phoenix was still able to keep up with them in the first. Second-quarter however, was a different story.

The away team couldn’t buy a bucket, with their offense stagnating to a fatal level. On the other end, Giannis and the crew continued to take advantage, and scored a massive 35 points during this period, and allowed only 17.

Nobody on the Suns really had a good game, but Booker in particular had perhaps his worst night ever. In 29 minutes, he had just 10 points and shot an abysmal 3 of 14 from the field. He was even taken out for the entirety of the fourth by Monty Williams.

Despite being on the bench though, he never stopped barking at the referees. And seeing this, Jeff Van Gundy had a brutal but somewhat hilarious diss for the player.

“How about you make a shot?!”: Jeff Van Gundy couldn’t stop himself from taking a jab at Devin Booker during game 3

In the scoring department, Devin Booker is by far, the best player on the Phoenix Suns. And while yes, the team does have guard depth, there is a reason why Book is one of the best in the game right now. His scoring can’t be replaced. And today, we saw the downside to that.

Still, given his mentality, he was still all in and supporting his teammates the best way he could. And when a call didn’t go the Suns way, the camera caught him barking at the officials.

And then, well… Jeff Van Gundy dropped this gold nugget on live, national television.

“I think the referees should be able to snap back! Like say ‘How about you make a shot?!’, or ‘guard your man better.’”

The rest of the commentating crew, much like many viewers at home, couldn’t hold in their laughter. And in response to this Gundy statement, Mike Breen even sarcastically said “That’s a good idea!”.

All joking aside though, if the Suns don’t do something here, they could be in serious trouble. At home, the Bucks have shown the ability to absolutely dominate any opposition. And with game 4 in Milwaukee too, unless Phoenix can think of something quick, they may just see themselves conceded their lead in the series.

The NBA Finals just got a whole lot more exciting.
