“How Soft Can This League Get?”: NBA Twitter Furious With Referees Over 4 ‘Unfair’ Ejections During Rockets vs Kings Game

The rockets were facing horrible odds today as they faced one of the best teams in the Western Conference. The Sacramento Kings have proven their might this season and risen to the 4th spot in their conference. The game clearly went as everyone expected. Sacramento absolutely dominated Houston to win the game 139-114. However, as with most one-sided games, things got heated up on the court at the start of the 4th quarter.

With barely a minute played in the 4th, Malik Monk and Garrison Mathews both chased a ball going out of bounds. Mathews, who was a step ahead of Monk, shielded the ball from his opponent by shoving his arm out. Monk immediately responded by knocking the ball out of Mathews’ hands.

Immediately, the two entered into a scuffle. More players from both sides joined and referees had to enter the foray. 4 players were ejected in the aftermath but the NBA Fans found the decision ridiculous.

NBA Fans not impressed with Rockets and Kings players getting ejected

In the aftermath of the tussle, Monk, Mathews, Chimezie Metu, and Tari Eason were ejected. Fans called the league soft in light of some questionable calls recently. Fans are unhappy with how soft the league has gotten and how easily referees hand out technical fouls to players.

Sacramento bullied Houston the entire game

The Kings were incredible the entire night. The ejections aside, they absolutely dominated their rivals and won the game. But what was most impressive was their tenacity and shot-making abilities.

Kings made 20 of their 40 three-pointers in comparison with the Rockets’ 12 0f 37 3-pts. Moreover, Sacramento also made 54.7% of their field goals while the Rockets made only 47.3% of them.
