“I really don’t care”: Kevin Durant rudely shared disinterest over fellow New York athlete Aaron Judge’s $360 million contract
Kevin Durant, though a basketball superstar, is a keen admirer of other sports as well. The 6ft 10″ superstar loves following NFL and MLB as well. It is likely that he is more interested in these leagues than the NBA in terms of getting his entertainment.
The Brooklyn Nets star, who is admittedly a Washington Nationals fan, has gone viral recently after his comments on an MLB superstar. KD, while talking to the press, was asked about New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge and his new record-breaking contract.
Durant, who is known for being upfront without caring about repercussions, gave his honest opinion on the matter. It is likely that Judge and New York fans will not appreciate Kevin Durant’s answer.
Kevin Durant opens up about Aaron Judge’s $360 million contract
After a long period of deliberation, the New York Yankees and their star slugger have agreed on a deal. The deal in question has dwarfed any before it. As per reports, Judge, who hammered 62 home runs last season, will receive $360 million over a 9-year period.
The $40 million-a-year package is incredible, to say the least. It is also unprecedented in free agency for a player to be retained by the same team for so much money.
However, it seems Kevin Durant is not too impressed by it. Actually, in his own words, he doesn’t care much about the contract. He claimed that he was a Washington Nationals fan and confessed not caring about Judge’s latest contract.

Durant’s take is interesting considering he, like Judge, is a New York-based athlete. Usually, athletes playing for major franchises of different leagues share a certain bond. However, it seems Kevin Durat has no such loyalty to the Yankees or Judge.
His words clearly show that he is least interested in the big-fat deal just handed to Durant. Maybe it is also because he is too focussed on the job ahead of him currently.
Brooklyn Nets are proving themselves after Steve Nash’s sacking
The Brooklyn Nets currently hold a record 14 wins and 12 losses. They sit at the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Though their win record has 7 fewer victories than the top-seeded Boston Celtics, the Nets seem far better than they have in a while.
After Steve Nash’s firing and Jacque Vaughn taking over the gig, Brooklyn has won 12 of their 19 games. If they can manage to continue this, they’ll definitely be playoffs-worthy. Hopefully, a first-round exit won’t welcome them this time around.
