There are things Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan before him, could do on the court, that was unreal for the NBA community. LeBron James, meanwhile, changed the definition of what an ideal player should be like.

At 6ft 9” and 250 pounds, this man playing as a point guard with Magic Johnson’s finesse in playmaking and the power and athleticism like no one before him, has fulfilled the expectations of him becoming the next biggest name in the NBA after MJ.

He’s on the verge of becoming the NBA’s #1 scorer of all time while still averaging 30 points per game in his 20th season in the league. There are still doubters who keep questioning him.

And many of them wonder who would win a one-on-one contest between him and Kobe or Jordan if it ever happened. LBJ would take himself over anyone.

When LeBron James claimed he’d beat anyone in a 1-on-1 game

In an old interview, LeBron James gets questioned by a reporter who is going to win a 1-on-1 between him and Kobe Bryant, to which the Miami Heat star doesn’t hesitate in saying he would “come out victorious against anyone.”

Although the most soft-spoken players among the GOATs also went on to say that it’s a team game, and he is a team player. Moreover, he said we are never going to see two superstars gunning against each other, no matter how strongly we want it to happen.

And also said that the reporters should even stop asking this question around to players. Watch the whole exchange in the following embed.

Obviously, it is a team game, but still, there was a man who scored 81 points against an entire team of professional basketball players from the best basketball league. That man is not losing a 1-on-1 game against anyone in the history of basketball.

Kobe Bryant was confident he’d not lose to anyone 1-on-1

Scoring 81 points against 5 men in a 48-minute basketball game, not even playing all of it, would make anyone believe they could beat anybody in a one vs. one game.

But then Bryant also had a 60-point night in his last-ever NBA game. That just about should seal anything he claimed throughout his 20-year career, including beating MJ, LeBron, or anyone else.

Bryant had six 60-point games in his career, only Wilt Chamberlain had more. But we know that’s no match-up, Kobe was too quick and a tremendous shooter for a big man, be it the best among them.
