"Draymond Green and I stuffed our faces with Barbeque and beers before Game 4 against Memphis": Warriors' Stephen Curry recalls a breakthrough moment between him and Dray during the 2015 Playoffs

Draymond Green calls the critics telling him to shoot absolutely stupid, stating that he has Stephen Curry on his team.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are one of the more underrated dynamic duos in the league. Sure, it’s the greatest shooter of all time that brings in the eyes and has all the flash. But, what Dray does on the floor can’t be ignored either.

He is one of the best defenders in the league at all five positions. And his incredible IQ for the game allows him to make great plays on the offensive end of the floor. Simply put, if he was even an above-average scorer, he would be the template for the perfect point-forward in the NBA today.

That said, his scoring is indeed a big drawback. The player has the ability to create his own shot, and has even gotten some easy dunks off his own efforts. However, any shot taken outside the paint is clearly a bad shot for the player.

Despite that though, there have been countless occasions where critics have still urged him to shoot more. Whether or not you agree with that notion is up to you. However, Draymond Green made his feelings very clear on the topic recently.

Draymond Green asks us why he’d take a shot if he can get even a half-open look for Stephen Curry

Fair enough.

Could you really disagree with the man here? This season, he averaged just 27% from beyond the arc. And his career average isn’t much better either, standing at 31.6%.

As we mentioned, Draymond Green is a smart player. Playmaking is a massive strength, giving him the ability to get people open. So if he can the Stephen Curry an open look from beyond the arc, why shouldn’t he?

Along with announcing this though, Draymond also had some choice words for his critics. Take a look.

Perhaps his words were maybe a bit too harsh. However, the logic behind them is infallible. And with Klay Thompson returning to the fray next season…

Hoo boy, Draymond Green’s going to be having a lot of fun.
