"I'll target everyone who's guarding me, including Luka Doncic": Kawhi Leonard opens up on his offensive mindset after all-time great 45 point performance in Clippers' Game 6 win vs Mavericks

Kawhi Leonard dotted Luka Doncic in the eye repeatedly in the 4th quarter, and the Klaw says he’s focused on destroying everyone.

The LA Clippers rallied from several deficits early in the game to take Game 6 against the Mavs tonight. Spearheading their fightback was the Klaw, who put in one of his greatest performances of all time.

Leonard picked up Doncic religiously for most of the game, causing him to have a bad shooting night. But what he did on the other end is what will grab all the spotlight from us fans.

Leonard finished with 45 points on the night, shooting 18-of-25 from the field. He’d already put his stamp on the game, but his 13-point outburst in the 3rd quarter was on a whole other level.

It brought the Clippers back into the contest after they fell into yet another 7-point hole. Kawhi is now responsible for both of the Mavs’ defeats after leading in the first quarter this season. Both have come in this series.

Kawhi Leonard also went on a tear late in the 4th quarter, including a stretch where he made back-to-back buckets on Luka Doncic. He wasn’t the only one either, as Paul George also hit a pretty cool mid-range shot at the start of the 4th on Doncic.

Kawhi made it clear that he’ll target everyone he faces one-on-one. Luka Doncic is not going to be spared the blushes:

“I wanna attack everybody on the floor, doesn’t matter who’s in front of me. You know, whatever the matchup is. I can’t have an indecisive mindset out there.”

“If I feel like I’ve been tangled and they’re giving me something then I’m going to take it. That’s on the coach to figure out the chess pieces. Obviously, having that basketball IQ though, you’d see someone who’s got 2 fouls, 3 fouls, you’re going to attack him. But it’s about having the same mentality throughout the 48 minutes.”
