Is Anthony Davis Playing Tonight vs Sixers? Injury Report (December 20)
Sitting uncomfortably at 11th in the West with an 11-17 record, the Dallas Mavericks are going to be facing the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. The Mavs have looked out of touch with success this entire season. Their newest recruit, Cooper Flagg, had a rough start to his rookie campaign, and their replacement for Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis, is likely to be replaced soon.
Davis put up a brave effort against the Detroit Pistons last time out. Despite almost missing out on the game, Davis logged in some serious game time and ended with an impressive 15 points, 18 rebounds, and 3 blocks in an OT win. But can he pull something similar against the Sixers tonight?
Well, Davis had informed the media after the Pistons game that he had been under the weather for some time. “I actually threw up twice during the game, but I’m just trying to compete. I’m just trying to do whatever I can to help the team win. Just leaving it all on the floor,” he had revealed.
While there hasn’t been any update on his condition, Mavs fans can sigh with a sense of relief since he is likely to feature on the court tonight.
The Mavs have listed Anthony Davis as Probable for the game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Dallas Mavericks consider Klay Thompson (left knee soreness) questionable to play against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Anthony Davis (illness) is probable.
Kyrie Irving, Danté Exum, and Dereck Lively II remain out.

Davis has appeared in 12 games so far in the 2024-25 season, averaging 19.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game. The Mavs will hope he can continue with that run of form tonight.
