Ricciardo and Max sign photo of their Baku crash
Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen share a wonderful relationship with each other, one that has given the fans a lot to cherish in the last few seasons.
Off the track they are often seen joking around with each other and come off as a pairing that is very relaxed in how they treat and deal with each other.
On track, things do get a little spicy sometimes, as they are both hard racers, but for a large part of their partnership they have kept things clean.
Now, their ‘major coming together’ this year was in Baku, when Verstappen made two moves to defend his position and Ricciardo misjudged his braking a little to ram into the back of Max’s car.
The duo were given a reprimand each by the stewards and were firmly dealt with by the Red Bull management as well.
Check out the video of the crash:

Now, it has been a long time since that crash, with a lot of things having transpired since then. Ricciardo is on his way to Renault and even had his farewell done with at the Red Bull factory last night.
Since the crash, the duo have been very open about what happened and have moved on, sometimes even taking a joke or two on it.
A Red Bull employee decided to take Ricciardo and Max down memory lane last night at Ricciardo’s farewell, giving them a picture of the Baku crash to sign, and the duo took it extremely sportingly.
