Is Devin Booker Playing Tonight vs Timberwolves? Suns Release 3x All-Star's Availability Update

The Phoenix Suns are having a difficult season. The wave of success they had been riding for the last couple of seasons seems to be over. Much of the reason for it is likely the injuries that have haunted their stars.

Frankly, Monty Williams has been unlucky. He is a fine coach who has found himself in a difficult situation. The injuries and bad chemistry between him and Deandre Ayton have seriously impacted the franchise.

In their last game, with just ten players on the active roster, the Denver Nuggets bullied  Phoenix. Chris Paul and Devin Booker’s absence made them especially vulnerable to the top-seeded team in the West.

Unfortunately, they will also head to Friday with at least seven players on the injury report and both Chris Paul and Booker will remain sidelined against the Timberwolves.

Phoenix Suns will face Minnesota without Devin Booker

The Suns will miss some of the most important players in their next contest. Their official injury report has listed Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Landy Shamet, Jae Crowder, Cameron Johnson, and Cameron Payne as out.

On December 29th, Booker was diagnosed with a groin strain. He is expected to be evaluated again in 4 weeks but will likely miss more time.

The entire Suns’ offense relies upon Booker. Unlike Chris Paul who involves his teammates in attacks, Booker instead prefers iso. He is quite capable of creating his own shots and can be a lethal scorer against even the best defense.

Booker’s stats this season

Though Booker played only 29 of the team’s 43 games, he was remarkable throughout. He has had two 50-point and three 40-point games and has carried his team’s scoring responsibilities. Book is averaging 27.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game.

The suns urgently need him to return to the active roster. Without him, their offense is considerably weaker.
