In the midst of a 6-game roadtrip, Booker flew back to Phoenix for further evaluation, making him miss Phoenix’s latest clash against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Devin Booker unlikely to suit up against the Wizards
According to several sources, Booker will miss the entirety of the Suns’ roadtrip. Duane Rankin, a Phoenix Suns insider for the Arizona Republic, said:
“Devin Booker is back in Phoenix getting further evaluation on his groin that he strained, the left groin strain from the Christmas game. You’re going back home, that means you probably won’t be back for the remainder of the road trip which is a long stretch obviously. So, that’s a blow.”

Prior to the injury, the 3-time All-Star was playing some incredible basketball. Having played 29 games, the combo-guard was averaging 27.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game.
Of course, missing out on the former Kentucky Wildcat’s services is a huge blow for the franchise. The likes of Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton will need to carry a huge portion of the team’s offensive load during Devin’s absence.
