Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing Tonight vs Heat?: Bucks Star's Availability Update Brings Good News Ahead of Game-1

The last time Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks faced off against the Miami Heat in the first round, they went on the win the NBA championship. And now, here they are once again. Could this be a good omen of any kind?

Jimmy Butler’s Heat have had a bumpy road to the NBA playoffs, to say the absolute least. Despite being the favorites over the Atlanta Hawks for the 7th seed game in the play-in tournament, Miami found itself crashing down to play in the game for the 8th seed. Fortunately for them, they were barely able to squeak past the Bulls.

Simply put, this is a good opportunity for the Milwaukee Bucks to build a certain level of momentum. But, for that to happen, they need the presence of Giannis Antetokounmpo. And so, with that in mind, let’s check in on the man’s health status, and what is going on with him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s availability status revealed by ESPN

Giannis Antetokounmpo has had to deal with several types of niggling ailments throughout this past NBA regular season. That said. As per ESPN, not only is the man completely healthy in time for the playoffs, but so is the rest of his team.

The Bucks will thus get to enter the playoffs with an advantage very few teams in the NBA have – a fully healthy squad when it is needed most. However, now the team has no excuse not to make it count. And given how scrappy the Heat have shown themselves to be when the moment calls for it, Jimmy Butler and his crew will surely be looking to make the Bucks work for it.

What did Giannis Antetokounmpo average during this past NBA regular season?

In 63 games played this season, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. Additionally, the man shot an efficient 55.3% from the field, along with 27.5% from three, and 64.5% from the charity stripe.
