Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs Raptors? Bucks release oral surgery injury report

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs Raptors: Bucks have said Giannis Antetokounmpo will sit-out of the game due to oral surgery. No news has been said about how long he will be out.

The highly-anticipated clash in the Eastern Conference between first seed Bucks and 2nd seed Raptors will take place tonight. The reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will not be playing against the Toronto Raptors tonight. The Milwaukee Bucks have issued a statement stating that he has to undergo oral surgery and will be out for this game. They have already secured the number one spot in the Eastern Conference.

However, the repeat of last year’s eastern conference final is losing its glam. With Giannis sitting out and without Kawhi Lenord, the fixture doesn’t look all that interesting. However, with other stars like Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowery and Fred VanVleet for the Raptors, they will surely want to secure a win after their loss against the Celtics.

How long is Giannis out?

As of now, the Bucks have said that he will sit out only tonight’s game against the Raptors due to oral surgery. Bucks fans will surely feel bad. They would have expected to see their star soar against the Raptors. Sadly it is not going to happen tonight.

As of now, the Bucks haven’t stated anything about Giannis playing in the next two seeding games. The Bucks could very well opt to rest him just to be safe and considering they have secured the top spot. What is important is Giannis be fully fit for the playoffs where his impact will be vital for the Bucks.

Giannis has dominated in the bubble although the Bucks have had troubles. They are currently 2-3 in the bubble. Yet, Giannis is a strong contender for both MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
