Is Kevin Durant Playing Tonight Against The Clippers? Game 3 Availability On Suns Forward As Series Even At 1-1
Kevin Durant played merely 8 games for the Phoenix Suns during the 2022-23 regular season and made sure he won every single one of those. Going into the Playoffs, the Suns were labelled as favorites to win the Western Conference given just how top heavy their roster is.
However, in their very first game as a unit in the Playoffs, the Suns would go on to lose 115-110 in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Kawhi Leonard going off for 38 points and Russell Westbrook having an incredible defensive and rebounding performance was what led to the Clips win.
The Suns did fire back in Game 2 however. While the bout was close up until the end, Devin Booker’s 38 points led the way to go along with Durant’s 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. With the series tied up 1-1, the Clippers will now host Games 3 and 4 in Crypto.com Arena.
Will Kevin Durant play tonight in Game 3?
Kevin Durant is currently not on an injury reports and looks to be completely available to participate in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers. He dealt with an MCL sprain from a January game against Miami but returned after over two months worth of missed games.
He would then turn his ankle during warmups when with the Suns prior to a regular season game against the Orlando Magic that would keep him out for a slew of games as well. However, when it comes to these Playoffs, ‘The Slim Reaper’ looks to be as healthy as ever and you can expect him to take to the floor tonight.
In two postseason games this year, Durant is shooting 50% from the field but under 28% from beyond the arc. If the Suns are in for a deep Playoff run, the percentage from 3-point land will surely even out to being around the 40% mark.
