Is Kevin Durant Playing Tonight vs Suns? Nets Star's Injury Report Doesn't Provide Too Much Hope For Fans

Kevin Durant couldn’t possibly be more important to the Brooklyn Nets. However, his injury history has always forced him to miss games during his time with the team. And yet again, the Slim Reaper has been forced to miss the last 3 games.

The issue seems to be in his knee, where he has reportedly suffered an MCL sprain. However, in several cases, these can be far more minor than they sound. And so, fans have been hoping the same is true with Kevin Durant. Especially given the fact that they have lost their last 3 games.

With that being said, what is the status of Kevin Durant’s injury? Will he be eligible to feature against the Suns?

Kevin Durant’s injury status continues to be murky

As per reports, Kevin Durant’s injury indeed isn’t too serious.

This will come as a huge relief to Nets fans considering the run they were on with him on the floor. However, as for the game tonight, things don’t look quite as rosy.

As per ESPN, Kevin Durant is expected to stay out of action for about a month. Until then, the organization will be hoping that Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons can get some wins.

On the other side of things, both Chris Paul (hip), and Devin Booker are currently sitting out with injuries. So, there is a good chance the franchise can get back to winning ways without Durant playing.

However, it is important that Brooklyn plays at the highest level possible. After all, even without their best players, the Suns aren’t a team that should be taken lightly.

What is Kevin Durant averaging this season?

After 39 games played, Kevin Durant is averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.

The man is also getting to the free-throw line 7.3 times per game, and sinking 93.4% of his shots there.
