Is Lebron James Playing Tonight vs Hawks? Lakers Release Injury Update for the 38-year-old Before the Game Against Trae Young and Co

LeBron James has been on a tear of late and is showing no signs of slowing down in year 20. Having recently celebrated his birthday, the 38-year-old is still playing like he is in his 20s, but with a couple of 40-point games in his last two appearances, James missed the Lakers’ last outing.

The Miami Heat, who recently got Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo back in the starting line-up visited LA and presented a massive threat to the Purple and Gold team’s already disastrous season.

However, somehow even without James and Anthony Davis in the line-up, they got a 112-109 win over LBJ’s ex-team. But, as they host the Atlanta Hawks tonight, they will need their 18x All-Star to lead them toward a .500 record.

LeBron James is ‘probable’ for the game against Trae Young and Co

The Hawks are coming off a stunning win against the hot Sacramento Kings and will look to build on it. They will certainly humble the team in Los Angeles if LeBron James doesn’t show up.

However, struggling with his ankle, the 4x MVP might miss another game, as he along with Russell Westbrook is probable for the match against Trae Young’s team.

Dennis Schroder’s 32-point night saved the Lakers from the Heat and has them on a 17-21 record, it will be too harsh on him if we expect him to pull another miracle with his team against a team that’s trying to make a statement for a long time.

Although, if LeBron plays his form will play the part in it even before the game starts in Crypto.com Arena.

How has James been playing?

One of the biggest icons of a top sport in the world who came in as a ‘Kid from Akron’ in 2003 at 17, is now on pace to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s #1 scorer of all time by the end of February at max.

If he continues his form from the last two games, he’ll get past it in the next 12 games. But it’ll be bonkers if a 38 y/o goes on to average 40 in 14 straight games. However, the way some stars of the league have been since Christmas, it can’t be ruled out.
