"His Name's Not Slim Reaper For No Reason": LeBron James Cites Kevin Durant the Foremost Threat to His Inevitable Scoring Record

The latest NBA all-star voting update is here! And we have a picture forming. LeBron James and Kevin Durant remain the heavyweight names and lead the line. But what stands out the most? Let’s find out.

It is the first return of votes and you can tell, the fans are teetering on edge with this one. LeBron James is the highest vote-getter with over 3 million votes and trailing him is Kevin Durant.

The veterans have a chance to repeat last year’s captaincy and lead the line for the West and East respectively. But who are the others on the list? What about the east frontcourt and the west backcourt?

NBA All-Star Voting Update: How are things shaping up?

The first round of the NBA All-Star voting update is intriguing, to say the least.  So, LeBron and Kevin Durant are the leaders but what about the rest?

For the West frontcourt, Nikola Jokic and Anthony Davis trail LeBron. Zion Williamson is not too far behind and NOLA faithful might make a push for him.

In the backcourt, Stephen Curry is the outright leader followed closely by Luka Doncic. These two are virtual locks but given Curry’s injury woes, it might be Ja Morant who gets a starter spot.

As for the East, there is a lot to play for!

How is the stacked East Frontcourt shaping up

Kevin Durant leads but is followed by Giannis Antetokounmpo. The remaining slot will be hard to decide. There is Joel Embiid and Jayson Tatum vying for it. And it is looking tight between them.

As for the East backcourt, Kyrie Irving and Donovan Mitchell are leading the way. It looks like these two are likely locks given Kyrie’s recent slew of performances and Mitchell’s stunning 71-point performance.
