Is Zion Williamson Playing Tonight vs Heat? Pelicans Star's Injury Report Disappoints Fans Ahead of Match vs Jimmy Butler

Zion Williamson was having by far his best season in the NBA since he was drafted in 2019. The man was the first offensive option that was a top 3 seed in a competitive West while he was healthy. However, since then, the man has unfortunately been forced to sit a few games out.

There have been multiple niggling injuries for the man, with the latest one of them being a hamstring problem. And while the Pelicans have maintained their position as the third seed in his absence, they have won just 4 of their last 10 games.

Simply put, they need their star man, and they need him back quickly. Ideally, in time to face the Heat tonight.

So, will Zion Williamson’s health allow him to feature against Jimmy Butler and his crew?

ESPN announces the status of Zion Williamson’s health ahead of big game

Zion Williamson may have pulled up with an injury, but there are still positives to be noted here.

For starters, this isn’t yet another knee injury, something he has had multiple times in the past. And secondly, this fortunately isn’t a serious ailment either.

However, this game will be too soon for the man. As per ESPN, he will be reevaluated after about 3 more weeks. Until then he will remain out.

Sorry Pelicans fans.

What is Zion Williamson averaging this season?

After 29 games played this season, Zion Williamson is averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 blocks steals, and 0.6 blocks per game.

The man is shooting 60% from the field, 36.8% from beyond the arc, and 71.4% from the free throw line.
