"Jayson Tatum Gonna Redirect it to Cancun": Jimmy Butler and Co.'s 'Booked Flight' to Denver Before Game 7 Draws Divided Reactions From NBA Fans

The Heat vs Celtics series has been a roller coaster for fans across the league. Where Miami had that big 3-0 lead enunciated by Jimmy Butler‘s disrespectful timeout celebration, Boston, led by Jayson Tatum, clapped back by tying the series. Now, only Game 7 remains, and tonight will reveal the Eastern Conference team to reach the NBA Finals. But even as fans and analysts debate the possible outcome, it seems Miami is confident in the outcome. As per Andy Slater‘s recent tweet, FAA records show that Heat has already booked a flight to Denver even before playing in Game 7. While this may just be the usual procedure for teams, Slater’s tweet has left fans divided.

The stakes for this series have been off the chart already. After a similar 7-game series in the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals, Heat’s 3-0 lead, in the beginning, seemed to be the end of the Celtics’ run.

But the response from the Greens not only forced a repeat of the last ECF but also positioned them into what could be the greatest comeback in history. With Miami’s flight plans, the stakes are even higher now.

Fans react to Miami Heat’s flight to Denver before Game 7

Slater’s tweet has gone absolutely viral. Fans have found another storyline that just makes things so much more interesting. Any outcome would be a great outcome for thrill seekers.

If Miami Heat wins, their flight plan would become a story of how they willed their prediction into existence. Meanwhile, if Celtics thwart the Florida-based franchise then it becomes an evergreen Meme of overconfidence.

One Twitter user was confident Jayson Tatum would turn the tide. The user commented how the Celtics star would end up redirecting Miami’s booked flight to Cancun instead of Denver.

Another user was enjoying Heat’s confidence. They tweeted their support and claimed this was a mental win for the team.

Meanwhile, there were some who called out Slater for a misleading tweet. One of the users, Eric Waters, who is apparently a respected NBA trainer revealed that this is standard practice for NBA teams. He called out Slater for the Tweet and informed the fans about the reality of this.

Game 7 could be the end of the road for Jimmy Butler and Co.

Currently, as things stand, the momentum is clearly in Boston’s favor. While Jimmy Butler proved his worth at the start, he has relatively gotten colder as the series progressed. In Game 7, Miami will rely heavily on his offensive output to take them to the NBA Finals.

However, without any ounce of doubt, Celtics are a dangerous team. They managed to overcome even the 3-0 lead despite all odds. If they manage to win, it might just be better than the Cavaliers’ comeback from being down 3-1 against the Warriors. Whatever the case, the public reveal of the flight plans by Slater has certainly put Miami Heat in an even tougher spot than before.
