“Just tune me out bro, why does it even matter what I do?”: Kevin Durant silences a fan who tries to tell him how he should appear on social media
Nets superstar Kevin Durant takes on a fan who tries to tell him how to maintain his presence online, asks the fan to leave him alone
Kevin Durant, as we all know, is much more than one of the best scorers of all time. Durant, also known as ‘Durantula’, has a very active social media presence. KD likes to regularly engage with his fans, but more often than not, ends up dealing with trolls more.
Durant and his candid nature on the Internet have gotten him into trouble as well. However, that did not stop the 2x Finals MVP from getting back online. Recently, he dealt with trolls who reminisced the anniversary of Durant signing with the Warriors. Then, he went on to defend himself and share why interacting online is a part of who he is. He talked about how interacting with fans shouldn’t be looked down upon, but encouraged further.
Kevin Durant silences a ‘fan’
When Kevin Durant was replying about engaging with fans, a ‘fan’ thought it would be better if he taught Durant what’s better for him. The 21-year-old Twitter user went on to tell Durant how he should be online. The Twitter user wrote,
“I’m so sick of this guy, you’re a generational talent just tune out all the noise and focus on your f**king game. Why does it matter what people say about you while your still creating your legacy”
This obviously did not sit right with Durant. As we know, KD likes his social media time just like he likes his time on the basketball court. Kevin Durant chose to reply to the ‘fan’ and said,
Just tune me out Bro. Why does it matter what I do???
— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) July 6, 2021
As KD’s response prompts, he would not cut off from his social media for the foreseeable future. However, as long as he continues to shine on the court, no one else should be concerned about what he does online.
