Kendrick Perkins' Bold Confession on Anthony Davis' 6ft 10" Body Frame Post Being Ruled Out for 4-Weeks with Foot Injury

In what many believe could have potentially been an MVP-caliber season for Anthony Davis has hit a major roadblock, courtesy of the foot injury the Lakers big man sustained against the Nuggets. Nothing short of a nightmare for the purple and gold fans, given their team’s below +500 record.

Davis was on a historic run off-late, filling up the stat sheet with monster numbers while keeping the Lakers’ playoff hopes alive. The former champion averaged 27.4 PPG, 12.1 RPG, 1.3 SPG, and 2.1 BPG, shooting an impressive 59.3% from the field before going down with an injury.

Leading the Lakers in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks, The Brow took the reigns from a not-so-durable LeBron James. Hoping to play all 82 games this season, but fate had different plans for Davis. In the game against the Nuggets, the 6ft 10″ forward would land in a slightly awkward position.

With injuries continuing to rock the 29-year-old’s career, former NBA player turned ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins decided to drop the truth bomb.

“I think we all have to start preparing ourselves”: Kendrick Perkins makes an unabashed prediction on Anthony Davis’ career.

Availability has been a constant worry for AD post his successful stint in the 2020 Orlando Bubble, leading to the Lakers having back-to-back lackluster seasons ever since. Davis accounted for 76 out of the 154-games post his first championship.

Looking to resurrect himself as a top-10 player in the league, Davis was off to a terrific start. Unfortunately, this didn’t last all that long, with the eight-time All-Star suffering a foot injury, leaving him out for at least a month.

Addressing the development on ESPN, former champion Kendrick Perkins suggested we start preparing ourselves for injuries being a constant in Davis’ career.

Sadly, one is left with no choice but to agree with Big Perk, given the history of events.

“It’s not good”: NBA Insider Brian Windhorst’s latest update on Anthony Davis’ injury.

Things just got murkier for Lakers Nation, if a report by Brian Windhorst is anything to go by, who has stated that there is something more concerning regarding AD’s recent injury.

Currently 13-17, the Lakers rank 12th in the western conference. Thus a playoff spot lies in the loop, given AD’s constant injury woes, coupled with an aging King James, and a misfit Russell Westbrook.
