'Kevin Durant is excited about being here': Shaquille O'Neal roasts Charles Barkley after Nets star gives exceptionally bland post-game interview

Charles Barkley was in no gaming mood when Kevin Durant refused to answer him candidly. Shaquille O’Neal got on his back for it.

The Nets sent out a warning to the rest of the NBA with their performance on opening night. They raced to a 40-point first quarter and never looked like losing control after that.

Steph Curry’s supporting cast played terribly in Draymond Green’s absence. Wiggins and Oubre had combined for a measly 4-of-20 field goals before halftime, sealing their fate.

Given how much controversy Kyrie created by not speaking to the media, it was a good thing KD agreed to the interview. Kyrie’s probability of talking to Chuck dropped exponentially after the latter criticized him for media silence.

KD had a one-word answer to Charles Barkley’s long-winded final question. There was a moment of studio silence on the sets after the interview finished. The crew took a few moments to reflect on what was essentially a non-interview from the Nets star.

Ernie: “I’ve never seen anyone give such a one-word answer to you man.”

Chuck: “Hey man, I don’t care.”

Shaq (laughing all this while): “Put that look on Chuck’s face on the screen.”

Kyrie and KD are going to come in for a ton of scrutiny now after the way they’ve performed. The expectations from the duo will be to lead the Nets to the Finals. It’s not going to be easy, but the Nets definitely have all the talent they need to do so.
