“Kyle Kuzma Wants $20 Million Per Year!”: Wizards Star Is Headed Toward the Exit, As Per Bleacher Report
Ever since Kyle Kuzma suited up for the Washington Wizards, he has seemingly only gotten better and better. So far this season, the man is averaging 21.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists, while shooting 46.2% overall.
In other words, he has been performing at a near All-Star level for the Wizards.
But, just as soon as it got going, could his time in Washington already be nearing its end?
Well, if Bleacher Report is to be believed, it may just be.
Kyle Kuzma allegedly wants to jump ship for a big market
Up until now, most Wizards were probably feeling good about the season. Sure, they aren’t contenders yet. But, at the very least they have pieces to build around.
Well, it turns out that bubble was burst pretty quickly by an NBA Redditor, who put out an excerpt from this Bleacher Report article in a now-viral post.
Gah damn

That’s not great, is it?
The Wizards were finally starting to get somewhere behind the production of Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis, and of course, the former Lakers man. But now, the latter already wants to leave.
Now, $20 million is clearly an amount Kyle Kuzma deserves. After all, that is the same amount the Bulls are paying Lonzo Ball. And as many know, Kuz does a lot more on an NBA floor. So, there is no doubt multiple NBA teams will be willing to pay him that much.
But, just how much higher is that compared to what his current contract gives him?
What is Kyle Kuzma’s Current Contract?
At the time of writing, Kyle Kuzma is in the second year of a 3-year, $39 Million deal with the Wizards. In other words, he earns just $13 million per season right now and is currently in a contract year to potentially change that for the better.
But, if the man wants to leave the Wizards, he will have to wait until his Unrestricted Free Agency hits in the 2024 offseason when he can demand it of a different NBA team.
Admittedly it is a bit of a risk. But frankly, with the way Kuzma is playing, it may be a good one to take.
