Dennis Schroder is on the Lakers’ list of the players they want for next season. The 27-year-old has been in the league for 7 years and has put up impressive numbers the past few seasons. He averaged 18.9 points and 4.6 assists in the 65 games he played with the Thunder last season and has one year($15.5 million) left on his contract.

The Lakers have been looking for a good 3rd scoring option who can put up around 20 points per night. A lot of names that have been rumored, but this one name goes all the way back to February.
Dennis Schroder and the Lakers
There were reports that the Lakers offered to trade for Dennis Schroder back in February as well, but the deal fell apart. The reason for the same was Dennis refusing to join the Lakers. He told a German media outlet this back then:
Dennis Schroder has no desire to play for the Lakers or Clippers and leave OKC, per @Eurohoopsnet

Schroder cannot stall a trade that has been made, so the thing to see here is what is it that the Lakers have to offer. Do they have something lucrative enough to make the Thunder trade someone who almost won 6th man of the year?

What can the Lakers offer for Dennis Schroder?
The most common thought is that the Lakers might put up Danny Green and the #28 draft pick. The $15 million Danny Green contract makes the number match perfectly. What remains to be seen is whether Sam Presti is impressed by this or if he asks for something better.
Schroder at the moment seems a little more consistent than Green on the offensive end, but Green’s defensive duties generally go unnoticed. With Frank Vogel stressing mightily on defense, it will be interesting to see if he decides to give up on Danny Green.
