After grabbing a 27-point win at the Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors were humbled by the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3. With the All-Star trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell combining for 67 points, the Purple & Gold handed the defending champions a 127-97 loss. However, Stephen Curry claimed the Warriors can overcome the 30-point blowout.

With Steve Kerr’s boys leading 30-23 after the conclusion of the 1^st period, it almost seemed as if the San Francisco-based franchise would put an end to their road trip woes. GSW seemed to have the advantage until LeBron went on a scoring tear.

“It’s not the end of the world”: Stephen Curry

Recording a team-high 23 points along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists, The Baby-Faced Assassin wasn’t productive enough in saving his team from some embarrassment. However, unable to lead his squad to a win, Curry displayed incredible leadership during his postgame interview.

While talking about going down 1-2 in the series, the 2-time Most Valuable Player addressed how the Warriors had gotten out of a similar situation in the previous series. “Last series proved that we could figure it out and overcome some of the challenges that we had. Unfortunately, we gotta do it again. It’s not ideal how you wanna perform in this series but it’s not the end of the world in terms of trying to bounce back,” Stephen said.

Steph’s underwhelming performance in the Western Conference Semifinals

There is no denying that Steph was the major reason behind the first-round victory against the Sacramento Kings. After scoring 31 PPG through the first 6 games, Curry erupted for a historic 50-point ball game to seal the series in Game 7.

However, in 3 games since the start of the conference semifinals, the 6-foot-3 sharpshooter has failed to produce such performances.
