“LeBron James deserves an Oscar for flying across the court”: NBA Twitter reacts to Laker MVP’s overexaggerated flopping against Chris Paul in Suns win in Game 1

NBA Twitter reacts to LeBron James flopping against Chris Paul in the Lakers loss to the Phoenix Suns in Game 1 of the first round.

The Phoenix Suns came into last night’s game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers as underdogs despite the fact that they’re the 2nd seed and have homecourt advantage over the Lakers.

Underdogs or not, Devin Booker and the Suns showed up and showed out in a testy Game 1, removing any doubt from NBA fans’ minds about Booker’s effectiveness in his first ever Playoff series.

Game 1 was most definitely a physical one to say the least as guys like Cameron Payne and Alex Caruso got into a tussle early on in the 4th quarter.

Playoff basketball usually tends to cause flare ups between two squads in terms of emotions so altercations are to be expected when it comes to the postseason.

However, it is what happened prior to the Caruso-Payne entanglement that has NBA fans typing away on Twitter, enraged at yet another LeBron James ‘antic’.

LeBron James flops on Chris Paul and NBA Twitter couldn’t get enough of it

The first Playoff game that Phoenix has seen in 11 years most certainly did not disappoint. The festive atmosphere relished in the fact that they’re pushing LeBron James and the Lakers to the edge as all 11,000 fans in attendance were in an uproar when the altercation began at the 9:01 mark of the 4th quarter.

Prior to the fight between Cam Payne and Alex Caruso, LeBron James took to the free throw line to drain a couple shots. Upon missing his second shot, he charged at the rim to grab his own miss. In doing so, he rammed himself into Chris Paul and immediately fell to the ground, writhing in pain. The backlash to these actions was obviously horrendous.
