“LeBron James, Stephen Curry, And Kevin Durant”: Damian Lillard Names ‘Big 3’ Of 2024 Paris Olympics Who Could Play Regardless of What Others Say
Team USA’s performance at the FIBA World Cup was nothing short of disappointing. Despite fielding a stacked team they failed to win a single medal, crashing out to Canada in the third-place match. In light of this, LeBron James has reportedly begun recruiting for the upcoming 2024 Olympics in Paris. That being said, no one really knows who has made the cut. As such, Damian Lillard shared the three names he believes are 100% making the team on the Backonfigg podcast.
Dame has been quite active on social media recently and even took part in one of the biggest controversies of 2023. Joining the likes of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and other NBA superstars, Lillard responded to American professional track and field athlete Noah Lyles. The Olympian received a ton of backlash after he claimed NBA Champions are not World Champions. Upon hearing the statement, the seven-time All-Star responded to a post on with a simple “The f*ck”.
Damian Lillard names the three players he believes are a lock for the 2024 Paris Olympics
The 2024 Paris Olympics is just a few months away and athletes around the world are excited. However, one group that is looking forward to it more than anyone is USA Basketball. Following the humiliation at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Team USA is looking to redeem itself, and this time around, they have LeBron James leading the charge.
According to reports, The King is already recruiting players toward the cause, and many have even volunteered their names. One such player is Damian Lillard, who suggested he would love to represent his country in Paris on the Backonfigg podcast. He spoke about how he “f*cks” with LeBron and would jump at the opportunity to join the team.
But, while he is not sure if he is on King James’ list, he knows of three players who have to be there without a shadow of a doubt. These are arguably the three best players in the NBA, perhaps even the world. They are none other than King James himself, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant.
“The only dudes that can be like, “I’m going!”, are Bron, Steph, and KD. Bron, Steph, and KD are the only ones who can be like, “I’m on the team!”. Everybody else, we gonna see if we want you!”
Three great choices from the Trailblazers superstar. But, while he may not be a surefire selection, to be honest, Dame deserves a shout. After all, he has his reasons for wanting to be on the plane to France. The three-point shooting specialist wasn’t feeling his best at the Tokyo Olympics. But, this time around he feels as fit as a fiddle and is certainly ready to take up the responsibility.
LBJ and Dame Dolla are close friends and even got drunk together on IG Live
His place on the team may be in doubt, but chances are that LeBron James has Damian Lillard at the top of his list for the 2024 Olympics. The two are close friends and share a lot of love and respect for each other. In fact, they’re so comfortable around one another that Lillard even invited The King on to his IG Live while he was drunk.
It was quite the scene as the two superstars discussed some rather obscure topics. From Lillard’s drunken state to how ugly the two thought they were, it was an intriguing yet casual conversation.
Once all was said and done, viewers could not help but laugh at the hilarity of it all. A perfect example of just how close their relationship is. It would definitely be interesting to see the two team up in Paris, and who knows, perhaps even in the NBA.
