"LeBron James to get an Icon Series Skin in Fortnite": Lakers' superstar makes his way to the gaming world with the popular Epic Games' Battle Royale

Lakers superstar LeBron James makes his way into the Gaming world, as the King is bound to receive an Icon Series Skin in Fortnite

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers have been out of the playoffs for around a month now, LeBron James has had no breaks. The 36-year-old has been busy hustling and promoting his upcoming movie ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’. The Lakers superstar has been all around promoting his movie. He has gotten some big coverage for the same as well.

With just over a week left for the movie’s release, LeBron James has taken his promotions to yet another level. LBJ is familiar with the power the gaming world holds. His son Bronny James is signed with one of the biggest gaming clans in the world – FaZe. Keeping all this in mind, LBJ and his promotions team have tied up with Epic Games.

LeBron James to have an Icon Series Skin in Fortnite

The Icon Series in Fortnite initially set out for paying homage to the best players of the game. The series kicked off with a skin for Ninja, one of the most popular Fortnite players. It has since had a lot of other people like Travis Scott, Marshmello, Major Lazer, TheGrefg, LazarBeam, Lachlan. Recently soccer stars such as Neymar Jr., Harry Kane, and Marco Reus.

Fortnite also has had the jerseys of all 30 NBA teams in their in-game store before. However, now many assume that the skin that would come would also have a Toon Squad jersey, for Space Jam 2.

While it’s a step in the positive direction for the NBA, and James’ personal brand, not all Fortnite players are happy with the same. They feel as if the purpose behind the Icon Series has been diminished.

Regardless, it would be interesting to see how the King’s skin turns out.
