‘LeBron James turned players off in NBA Boycott meeting’- Stephen A Smith lashes out at Lakers star
On his morning show First Take today, Stephen A Smith said LeBron James’s comments in the Wednesday meeting were not received well by young NBA players.
Stephen A Smith is the most famed NBA pundit among all of the talking heads in basketball. His fashion of making bold statements in free flow has gotten him many admirers, in addition to success within the ESPN organization.
This allows Stephen A to sometimes stir things up as a presumed ‘insider’. Stephen A chose a peculiar hill to die on today, lambasting LeBron James for a vague offense.
Stephen A Smith claims LeBron James came off as ‘The King with a crown’
On the eve of the NBA resuming play following a 3-day boycott, Stephen A Smith found the opportunity to make headlines. He chose LeBron James as his prime target.

This comes off to be quite different to Yahoo insider Chris Haynes’s less sensational account of events. Per Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, James was among the players “miffed with the Bucks’ handling of the situation” on Wednesday.
He felt all of them were put in a “no-win situation” by not having a plan of action and “if they’re refusing to play, then what’s the end game and what demands must be met to continue?”
The reality of how the 4-time MVP dealt with one of the toughest professional situations of his career is likely to be shrouded in mystery for at least a few more days.
