“Lil brother holding me accountable”: Bam Adebayo reacts to Jimmy Butler staring accusingly at him for missing a free throw in the Heat’s win over Blazers
Jimmy Butler continues to provide us with meme-worthy moments in his Heat tenure. Bam Adebayo once again got on his wrong end.
The Miami Heat have recovered from an injury-riddled start to the season to get back to a playoff berth. They’re currently in prime position to snag homecourt in the first round of playoffs with a clean bill of health.
Butler and Bam have both been pulling their weight once again, while Goran Dragic is excelling as usual. Duncan Robinson is returning to his pre-Covid form and providing them elite spacing like last year.
All in all, they look like a team capable of pulling off yet another upset. They seem to matchup amazingly well against the Milwaukee Bucks yet again, though unlikely to land in their half of the draw.
Jimmy Butler stares disapprovingly at Bam Adebayo after the latter misses a free throw
The Heat registered a relatively easy 107-98 win over Portland on Sunday night. Their stifling defense held the Blazers to only 40 points in the second and third quarters.
Damian Lillard was aggressively deterred from taking shot attempts as he finished with just 12 points. Bam and Butler, on the other hand, had efficient 20-point nights and powered the Heat offense.
Bam received a pair of free throws with 4 minutes left in the final period. The score was at 99-83 in the Heat’s favor, so Bam’s bricked free throw was academic in the game’s context.
However, what made it memorable was how Jimmy stared at Bam from his own paint after the miss. Bam seemed to sense that the Texan would be memeing as he turned back, and his suspicions were confirmed.
Bam retweeted this video yesterday, calling Jimmy his little brother: ‘Lil Brother Holding Me Accountable Lmao’.

Every team with Jimmy gets an instant chemistry boost, and it seems the Heat are ready to ride and die with their exemplary leader.
