In 2022, Serena Williams decided to step back from sports. The tennis legend wanted to spend more time with her family and thus made the decision. She is married to Alexis Ohanian, with whom she has a daughter. The couple recently announced that they are expecting a second child. A loving family indeed, but it’s hard to forget that Williams once dated former NBA superstar, Amar’e Stoudemire.

Serena tied the know with Alexis Ohanian in 2017. The duo met in 2015 and dated for a year before Ohanian proposed to her. They have been inseparable ever since, but just seven years earlier, Williams was in another high-profile relationship.

She was spotted several times with then-Phoenix Suns star Stoudemire in 2010. They had a brief relationship, one that lasted only a year. But, one cannot help but imagine what might have been.

Before tying the know with her $70 million worth husband, Serena Williams had been in several relationships. While most of them were with fellow tennis superstars, she did step out of her sport in 2010.

It was around this time she was introduced to Amar’e Stoudemire by her good friend La La Anthony. Stoudemire, who was playing for the Phoenix Suns at the time is good friends with La La’s ex-husband Carmelo. The two even played together on the Knicks for a time.

Having just broken up with rapper/actor Common, Williams, and Amar’e began dating in August 2010. But, their relationship did not last long and they ended things two months later in October. The two parted ways amicably, although the real reason for their break up was never revealed.

Two years later, the six-time All-Star married his long-time girlfriend Alexis Welch. The couple have four kids together and despite a few hiccups, are still happily married as of 2023. Meanwhile, Serena Williams announced her pregnancy in a fashionable manner at the Met Gala.

The news of Serena’s pregnancy has caught on like wildfire. The tennis phenom, who has 23 Grand Slams to her name has been retired for a year, but she is still making waves. And, her announcement at the Met Gala was but one of them.

It certainly is wonderful news. A new addition to the Ohanian-Williams family. Hopefully, Serena has a safe pregnancy and gives birth to a healthy and happy child.
