“Luka Doncic Is the Best Player in the World”: 10x All-Star Jason Kidd Crowns 6ft 7” PG in the Aftermath of a Historical Performance
The greatest decision taken by the Dallas Mavericks in recent history was to acquire Luka Doncic from the Atlanta Hawks. Since his first moment on the court, the former Real Madrid prodigy has only impressed with his skill set. But now, he has raised his game to a whole new level.
He has become a top-tier offensive threat with and without the ball. Luka Doncic has shown he is quite capable of creating his own shots.
But what has truly stood out this season is the improvement in his already incredible passing. With every touch, Luka seems to get better and better.
With his increasing experience and relentless chase for greatness, it is likely that the European is on his way to his first-ever MVP. And regardless of who agrees, Jason Kidd has already lent Doncic his support after a historical performance from the point guard.
Jason Kidd calls Luka Doncic the best player in the world
In a world with Giannises and Durants, Luka is an oddity. He is not the fastest on the court or even the strongest. In fact, he is not athletically gifted like his peers or even some of his teammates. But even then, despite these ‘limitations,’ Doncic has not only made himself relevant but proved how his uniqueness is a weapon.
A weapon Jason Kidd has honed over a fire. The former Mavericks guard, who helped win the franchise their only championship and is a 10-time All-Star, believes it is time we acknowledge his squad’s most elite member.
After the game against the Houston Rockets, Kidd crowned Luka as the best player in the world. And in all fairness, Kidd may just be right.
“Luka is Luka. He’s the best player in the world.”

Doncic made history against the Rockets
During his match-winning performance, Luka set a new record for the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. He scored 50 points and dished out 10 assists. No player in the franchise’s history has ever put up these stats before. What makes the performance even more impressive is the fact that the 6ft 7″ star was shy of only two rebounds for a 50-point triple-double.
Luka Doncic carried the Mavs to victory over the Rockets tonight:

Currently, averaging 32 points, 8.7 assists, and 8.2 rebounds, Luka is clearly making a strong case for the MVP award. He is exceptional not only because of his scoring prowess but also for his ability to take players to the post, make plays for his teammates, and his sheer tenacity.
However, with a record of 17-16, the Mavs aren’t as impressive a squad. Luka desperately needs help and needs it soon if Dallas wants to make it to the playoff.
