Marc Gasol reveals what excites him most about playing with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the Lakers
Marc Gasol shares what he is looking forward to next season in Los Angeles, playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Back in 2007, the Lakers drafted a young Marc Gasol but very soon traded him to Memphis for his brother Pau. Life ran full circle, and we see the Lakers signing Marc in 2020. The Lakers recently signed free-agent Marc Gasol on a 2-year, $5.2 million deal.

Marc has been in the league for a long time and knows how this game works. He is a defensive anchor and has recently developed a decent distance shot as well. His basketball IQ is high and is a selfless teammate. All of these qualities fit so well with the Lakers system, it was as if he was meant to be a Laker.
What is Marc Gasol looking forward to next season?
The Lakers replaced one high IQ guy with another. The Lakers might have lost Rajon Rondo, but they got Marc Gasol. Combined with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the 3 starters should cause trouble to each and every team in the league.
In his first interview as a Laker, Marc revealed what excites him for his time in Los Angeles.
According to Marc, the pride and responsibility of repping the Purple and Gold brigade is his highest honour. He expects to be a valuable member of the supporting cast to the Lakers’ star duo.

With this addition, Marc and Pau Gasol become the first pair of brothers to play for the Lakers.
The 2020-21 Lakers seem like a tougher team than the 2020 Lakers to beat. The Lakers seem fully prepared for any challenge this season, and appear as the prohibitive favorites for the 2021 title.
