Pelicans vs Nuggets Scrimmage Preview

Bol Bol’s active presence in the game is not certain as Malone will have reinforcements. This could definitely mean a slice in Bol Bol’s time in the centre. Jokic will be itching to get more game time and get match ready before the seeding games begin.

His dominating performance in the first game left to much to wonder about his raw potential. However, the Nuggets will need a strategy to defend against the fast-paced attacks. Earlier this season, the Nuggets certainly had trouble defending in transition. This will certainly be playing on Malone’s mind.

As far as the Pelicans are concerned, both Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball will be hoping for an extended stay on the court, so as to get into the groove for the NBA restart.

It will be interesting to see how the Pelicans set up shop with Zion for the second time in 3 days.

How the teams will lineup?

With reinforcements ready, the Nuggets will have more options and a different match line up is definitely expected. Bol Bol’s time in the centre might reduce. But, the second scrimmage is exactly one week before their first tip-off when the season resumes. This will be an excellent chance to properly evaluate the team and fix their weaknesses.

Guard Gary Harris and forward Torrey Craig have also joined the team in Orlando. It is yet to be seen if they will play a role in Saturday’s game.

For the Pelicans, the team setup should be similar to what it was in the 1st scrimmage win against the Nets.
