"Shams Charania is a creep, yo": Kevin Durant hilariously accuses NBA insider of being a CIA insider on 'Catching Up with KD' podcast

Kevin Durant spun around some hilarious theories about how The Athletic sportswriter and NBA insider Shams Charania gets his scoops.

One of the preeminent NBA insiders over the past 5 years, Shams began his career with micro-articles on RealGM. He progressed to breaking bigger and more important signings and trades over the years. He was given a jump-start to his career as an NBA insider by Adrian Wojnarowski.

Woj once called Shams the ‘best young reporter in the business’, back in 2016. Shams proved that statement to be true by breaking a number of signings over the summer of 2016. This included Dwight Howard’s Hawks move and Luol Deng’s contract with the Lakers.

Kevin Durant wonders how Shams Charania gets all his scoops on his latest podcast

This week on KD’s podcast, The ETCs, Durant spoke about how Shams manages to get all of his scoops:

“Shams a creep, yo! I remember Shams — Shams now, you never know where he is, yo, cause you can wear a mask now. This motherfcker’s probably outside the house. But Shams, I don’t know how he gets this info, but he, I mean, he said I was in the car with no mask and we went back-and-forth, back-and-forth, and I was like, sht.”

“That’s some crazy news to break, Shams. That’s crazy news to break, man, when you’ve been doing the Draft for the last 5 years. He goes smack to the White House. … He’s some type of Central Intelligence, bro. He’s got something at the crib, gadgets. His basement is full of sh*t. This man is locked in, with all respect.”
