Watching Nikola Jokic play live for the first time, it is safe to say that Shaquille O’Neal had a great time. After witnessing the Joker erupt for a huge triple-double performance in the Nuggets’ 104-93 win, Shaq got a chance to have a conversation with the Serbian superstar. A must-see postgame segment also consisted of O’Neal wanting to meet Nikola’s elder brothers, amid the FTX scandal, NBA Twitter made wild assumptions as to why the LAL legend would want to meet Strahinja and Nemanja.

Cryptocurrency company FTX announced its bankruptcy in late 2022. It was revealed to the investors that FTX was misusing customers’ funds. The figure of the same – $8.9 billion.

Due to it, the investors sued the company as well as any endorsers. Unfortunately, Shaq was one of the many celebrity endorsers. Further, the Big Aristotle even made the fiasco more obvious prior to Game 4 of the Heat-Celtics series, during his conversation with Stephen Curry.

As soon as the clip went viral on social media, NBA Twitter blew up with reactions.

User @VinoFiIipino suggested that he wanted to meet the Jokic brother to get help for his ‘legal issues’.

Other users wondered what the conversation between Shaq and the two Serbians would look like.

@RKalland predicted that the three of them would be hanging out in a club pretty soon.

Has Shaq softened up on Nikola Jokic?

Even though he meant no disrespect, the Big Aristotle would always mess around with Jokic.

Either the 7-foot-1 legend would talk to him in broken Serbian or he would get Jokic’s nationality wrong by calling him a “Slavic Lasagna” and speaking in Russia.

However, being left in awe after seeing him play live and judging from all their conversations. Shaq’s sentiments have definitely changed towards the 5-time All-Star.

It’s good to see a big figure like Shaquille O’Neal embrace an international player for his greatness. Perhaps it could even inspire kids from other countries to potentially work towards getting to the same level.
