Shaquille O’Neal is an excellent media personality. After finishing his Hall-of-Fame basketball career, Shaq joined TNT as an on-air analyst. He was a part of Inside the NBA on Thursdays, and their TNT Tuesday shows as well. However, he soon became a fan favorite on the screen, and TNT wanted more of him.

They assigned Shaq his own podcast, The Big Podcast. There, along with Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams, Shaq discusses issues ranging from real-world problems to happenings in the NBA and NFL to Hollywood drama.
This week, the gang talked about Shaq’s upcoming 50th birthday, potentially getting Botox, hip-replacement surgery, and more. Nischelle Turner also brought up going to the premiere of Creed III, starring and directed by her ‘nephew’ Michael B. Jordan.
Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t pleased with how Michael B. Jordan handled his ‘bully’
On February 23rd, the cast of Creed 3 made their way to Atlanta for the movie’s premiere. It was during that premiere that we got the viral footage of Michael B Jordan humiliating a reporter for calling him a ‘corny’ kid in school.

Talking about the premiere on The Big Podcast, Nischelle brought up the famous interview. While she was impressed with the way her ‘nephew’ reacted to the situation, Shaq wasn’t really impressed. According to him, the best thing to do would have been to ignore her and talk to everybody else. That would have hurt her more. By giving her this interview, MBJ gave her publicity. Shaq said,
“She got exactly what she want. I would’ve walked right by her a** and all that yellow hair.”
After discussing the same, Nischelle also talked about how Michael B. also paid homage to Shaquille O’Neal in the movie.
Shaq credits bullies for motivating him to create a $400 Million empire
During the same episode on the podcast, Shaq talked about how he could afford both a basketball team and a football team. Shaq has made a fortune, partly thanks to his NBA career, but he has other sources of income as well. One of them is the plethora of endorsements he does.
Spice talked about how Shaq was on an advertisement in Australia as well. O’Neal clarified it was a gambling app. Nischelle credited him, saying he’s Worldwide. O’Neal elaborated and said,
“You know who fault it is? It’s the people’s fault. When I was young, they told me I was dummie. I believed it, so I had to become smart… Now that I’m smart, leave me alone!”
Not only is O’Neal smart, but he’s used his smarts to create a business empire for himself and his family. He also makes sure that they’re well taken care of. It’s great to see how Shaq used that bullying in his childhood to prove his haters wrong, instead of getting dejected.
