Stephen Curry, who helped Drake pocket $1,000,000, ditched his song for “Careless Whisper” in a hilarious ad
Stephen Curry is one of the most popular players in the NBA today. The Golden State Warriors star gained fame not just from his revolutionary basketball skills, but also for his likable personality.
In his 14-year career, Steph shot up to superstardom thanks to his amazing three-point shooting, and his fun-loving and family-man persona. The man is very active on social media. And, if he’s not posting about his workout routine, he’s usually sharing something from his family life.
Well, Curry isn’t the only one who shares things. His dedicated fans are always doing whatever they can to show that he is the best player in the league, both on and off the court. One video that has recently been doing the rounds is an oldie but a goldie. A video where Steph is blind-sided with a switch between the songs Sicko Mode and Carless Whisper. And, it is hilarious.
Stephen Curry once ditched the song Sicko Mode for Careless Whisper in a hilarious NBC advert
There can be no denying that Stephen Curry is an iconic figure. Not only is he an NBA icon, but in recent times, he has become a cultural icon as well. And, for that, he has his basketball skill and pleasant nature to thank.
As a result, Chef Curry has found himself featured in a lot of advertisements. After all, who wouldn’t like to see a loveable NBA superstar endorsing a product? Well, one of his more recent advertisements will crack a smile on anyone’s face. Not to mention it kind of takes a slight dig at world-famous rapper Drake as well.
In an ad for NBC Sports, Steph can be seen listening to Sicko Mode, a song by Travis Scott featuring Drake, when suddenly it switches up to George Michael’s Careless Whisper. And what does Curry do? He just rolls with it.

It certainly is a hilarious advertisement. And, while it does take a cheeky dig at Drake, we doubt the OVO will be too mad. Especially considering it’s thanks to Steph that he has $1,000,000 in the bank.
Steph Curry won Drake a massive $1 million after the Warriors’ 2022 Western Conference win
He may have decided to groove to Careless Whisper over Sicko Mode, but Drake definitely won’t hold a grudge over Stephen Curry. Why? Well, if it wasn’t for Steph, Drizzy may not have been able to cash in on the $1 million bet he made on the Golden State Warriors winning the 2022 Western Conference Finals.

With that kind of money in hand, it is safe to say that Drake won’t mind Curry singing a few of George Michael’s verses. In fact, he may just join in next time.
