“Stephen Curry’s rookie card bought for an incredible $5.9 million”: Warriors MVP breaks LeBron James’ record after his rookie card sells for an all-time record
A Stephen Curry rookie card sells for an all-time record of $5.9 million, breaking the record previously held by a LeBron James card.
Stephen Curry is one of the greatest point guards to grace the league. Some would even argue that the Golden State Warriors leader is the best shooter in NBA history, and they might actually be right. What the Oakland hero has achieved over the past 12 years is only a testament to his greatness.
Even in his 12th NBA season, the 6-foot-3 sharpshooter torched the league on fire. Scoring 40-bombs at will, Curry was practically unstoppable. However, even after clinching his 2nd scoring championship, Curry wasn’t quite able to lead the Warriors team into the postseason.
Although, credits have to be given where due. While leading a fairly inexperienced group of young guys, Steph put up a league-best 32 points. Which went along with 5.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game, on an astonishing 48/42/91 shooting splits. Oh, and Curry managed to do this all while playing on a broken tailbone.

Stephen Curry’s $5.9 million rookie card surpassed LeBron James’ rookie card as the most expensive sports trading card ever
Stephen Curry is used to making history and breaking several surreal records. Over the course of his illustrious 12-season career, Chef Curry has already clinched 7 All-Star selections, 7 All-NBA selections, 3 NBA championships, 2 MVPs, 2 World Cup gold medals with Team USA, and the title of the greatest shooter ever.
Recently, The Baby Faced Assassin broke yet another record. After Stephen’s autographed rookie card sells for a whopping $5.9 million, it is the most expensive sports trading card ever. The card, bought by “Alt Fund II”, is $700,000 more expensive than the pre-existing LeBron James’ rookie card.

The one-of-its-type card had been graded Mint 8 by the Professional Sports Authenticators, on a scale of 1-10. And the Curry autograph was even rated as a Gem Mint 10, the highest grade possible.
As his rookie card breaks a surreal record, Golden State fans would be expecting the same out of their point guard next season. Just as he did this year, Curry will be anticipated to have yet another great season, only this time, leading his team to a deep playoff run.
