The Phoenix Suns made their way to Denver to take on the Nuggets for Game 1 of the 2nd round. Jamal Murray and the Nuggets took care of the Timberwolves in Round 1, beating them in five games. On the other hand, Kevin Durant and the Suns did the same to the Clippers. Watching the game tonight, especially how great Murray was, Skip Bayless couldn’t help but issue a prediction.

The Nuggets put their foot on the gas right from the start of the game. They’d been ousted by the Suns in 2021, and tonight was their way of showing they mean business. Taking the lead as large as 25 points, the Nuggets ended the game with a final score of 125-107.
Nikola Jokic had 24 points and 19 rebounds, but it was Jamal Murray who was the star of the show. In fact, his performance made Skip Bayless even go against his ‘favorites’ to win it all!
Skip Bayless claims the Nuggets might sweep the Suns
The Phoenix Suns could never establish themselves in the game tonight. They only held a lead in the first quarter, that too was just 3 points. After that, the Nuggets took over. The Nuggets were scoring at such a pace that they easily withstood a Kevin Durant performance as well. As soon as that happened, Skip Bayless took it to Twitter to talk about the same.
After that, Jamal Murray put up a flurry in the 2nd half. He ended the night with 34 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the deep, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Watching Murray put on a show, Skip had to put out a tweet.
While Skip made this bold assumption, it’s only if Jamal Murray can keep doing what he did tonight. Bayless is still riding with the Suns for now.
FS1 analyst suggest changes for Game 2
Skip Bayless gets heavily involved in teams that Kevin Durant is on. The Suns were no exception. He already picked them as his favorites to win it all. Now, after Game 1 ended, he had two suggestions for the team. He conveyed them via his twitter.
First one is getting better defensively and focusing on rebounding the ball.
The other one is to get Terrence Ross some playing time.
We’ll have to wait and see what adjustments the Suns make before Game 2 on Monday.
