“Phoenix Suns need their a** kicked”: Shannon Sharpe goes off on Chris Paul and co after embarrassing loss to James Harden’s Nets after being up by 24
Shannon Sharpe says the Phoenix Suns needed their a**es kicked after blowing a 24 point lead to a Nets team without KD or Kyrie.
The Phoenix Suns faced off against the Brooklyn Nets last night in a game that featured James Harden in a role similar to his situation back in Houston. The ‘Beard’ ran the show for Brooklyn all night long as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving watched Harden drop 38 points on Devin Booker and Chris Paul all while leading the Nets to a win from down 24.
Chris Paul continued his brilliant play as he led the Suns with 29 points on 12-20 shooting from the field. Devin Booker pitched in with 22 points of his own but it wasn’t enough to keep James Harden at bay.
Harden wasn’t the only one out on the floor making buckets as Joe Harris dropped 22 points while Tyler Johnson had 17 while shooting 5-8 from beyond the arc.

The Suns boasted a 24 point lead late in the 2nd quarter and even held a substantial 12 point lead going into the 4th. However, due to heroics from James Harden, including the game winning 3, the Nets managed to squeeze out a come-from-behind victory over the red-hot Suns.

Shannon Sharpe wasn’t all too pleased with the way Phoenix handled business last night and took to Twitter to air out his frustrations. “Suns needed their a**es kicked. Up 24 and lose to the Nets minus KD, Kyrie is unacceptable.”

James Harden has proven a lot of nay-sayers wrong in his first few games with the Brooklyn Nets. Most claimed that Harden couldn’t fit in with two primary ball handlers like KD and Kyrie but he has done so quite seamlessly.
The Brooklyn Nets defense looked very much alive last night as they stayed active on the ball and stuck to switching on almost every play.
