Despite Tensions With Jordan Poole, Draymond Green Reveals He’s ‘Thankful’ For Steve Kerr’s Comments

The Golden State Warriors were handed a terrible blow last night. After Steve Kerr had to figure out his 4th quarter in Game 2 without Draymond Green, they learned that they would have to play Game 3 without him as well.

The NBA released this communication very strategically. They put it out during the Clippers-Suns contest, to take away some of the attention. However, that is not how things turned out. Multiple people spoke up in Green’s support, including Shaquille O’Neal and Damian Lillard.

Back at home, the Warriors are preparing for Game 3 at the Chase Center, now without Draymond in their lineup. Steve Kerr went on Willard and Dibs to talk about the upcoming game. There he discussed the Draymond situation.

Steve Kerr was surprised and disappointed by Draymond Green’s suspension

During Game 2, Domas Sabonis fell down during a defensive possession, when he grabbed Draymond’s leg. While trying to break free, Draymond ended up stepping on his chest, which warranted maybe an ejection(at max). After all, it was Domas who initiated the whole contact.

However, when the league decided otherwise and chose Green’s ‘history’ as a reason to suspend him, it made a lot of people mad. Recently Steve Kerr was asked to share what he felt about the same. Kerr said,

“It was surprising and disappointing but given this is the playoffs, we’ve got to move on.”

Not only did the league punish Dray by ejecting him in Game 2, and costing the team a win there, but they’re also punishing him by suspending him for Game 3.

When asked about the starting spot tomorrow, Kerr refused to share his plan in advance.

Kerr talks ab0ut Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole injured his ankle in Game 1 of the series. He played in Game 2, but he definitely looked uncomfortable while doing so. Talking about Poole, Steve Kerr said that he’s looking much better.

Playing on a swollen ankle and trying to get his team to a win? Looks like Poole has truly embraced the Warriors’ spirit.
