“Trae Young has hair that looks like a lollipop that got dropped on the carpet.”: Shaquille O’Neal, Kyle Lowry and other NBA stars react to Mean Tweets on Jimmy Kimmel
NBA stars such as Trae Young, Shaquille O’Neal, Ja Morant, and more react to Mean Tweets – 2021 NBA season on Jimmy Kimmel
The rise of the Internet has its own merits and demerits. While it gave the NBA a bigger platform and a better reach to audiences within and outside the USA, it also gave a rise to trolls. People on the internet usually say whatever comes to their minds, more often than not, without thinking of the consequences.
While the current generation of NBA players has grown a thick skin to all the haters, there are still times when the players cannot hold back from replying to the trolls. Kevin Durant is one of those players that never shies away from sharing whatever is on his mind. However, people have also found ways to use this criticism and make something light out of it. Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel hosts a series of ‘Mean Tweets’, where he makes the celebrities read mean tweets directed at them.
Trae Young, Shaq, Kyle Lowry feature in the latest ‘Mean Tweets’ edition
With the NBA season just down to 6 games at the max, people have started compiling things for the 2020-21 season. Jimmy Kimmel did the same and came out with his ‘Mean Tweets: 2021 NBA Season’ edition just before Game 1 of the Finals.

As seen in the video, there are stars like Trae Young, Shaquille O’ Neal, Ja Morant, Brandon Ingram, Khris Middleton, and many more gracefully reading and laughing off the trolls. As always, this edition of Mean Tweets was a delight to watch as well. Kimmel has had previous editions of the same as well, which can be checked out on his YouTube channel.
