Bam Adebayo brought out his best game of this year’s Playoffs when it mattered the most. Jalen Brunson also looked like he had another upset in his bag for Heat Nation before ‘Heat Culture’ came to the rescue and everyone wearing that Miami uniform delivered at the right time. However, Adebayo didn’t forget to praise the Knicks’ point guard’s efforts. But as he was praising Brunson in the post-game presser, he got cut by a phone call.

Game 6 in Miami was almost like a Game 7 for the Heat, as the Knicks’ comeback in Game 5 had shifted the momentum of the series. Brunson, who scored 38 points that night, gave them a 41-point scare in what proved to be the final game of his spectacular season.
All the Heat players and the fans in the stands gave the former Mavericks guard the respect he deserves. But let’s have a look at what happened when Bam was trying to do so.
WATCH: Bam Adebayo’s post-game remarks about Jalen Brunson get interrupted by a ‘cute’ call from his mother
Brunson almost pulled the upset at Kaseya Center when he got himself a flagrant foul against Gabe Vincent with just over 50 seconds remaining in the game. The Knicks were 6 points behind at the time but had two free throws coming their way.
Jalen didn’t just convert both those clutch FTs from the charity stripe, he made a great play for Josh Hart who had an easy lay-up to cut the lead short to two, with plenty of time remaining in the game to get the win.
However, the Heat culture came into the picture just in time to stop Brunson at his tracks and win the game 96-92 and proceed to the Eastern Conference Finals.
And in the post-game press conference, Adebayo, who had 23 points and 9 rebounds in the game, was giving his flowers to the Knicks guard, saying he has a “lot of respect for Jalen” which is when he got interrupted by a phone call from his mother and had a cute conversation with her.

The Heat are in their 3rd ECF in 4 years
The Eastern Conference Finals will yet again have a Jimmy Butler Heat team, ready to get Erik Spoelstra a championship success 10 years after he last won it with LeBron James and Co.
And as the Lakers defeated the Warriors in Game 6 by 21 points in the Crypto.com arena to take themselves to WCF as we speak, there’s a solid chance the Miami Head Coach will see the Lakers in the 2023 Finals.
But with the Nuggets and Celtics/Sixers being the better teams in the regular season, we just cannot be sure of what will we have in our hands a few weeks later.
