The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-108 riding on big performances from LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The Lakers managed to hold on to their perfect road record as they edged past the Cavs in the 4th quarter last night. The Lakers are now 10-0 on the road this season. Led by LeBron James’ 46 huge points, the Lakers managed to beat the crafty, young Cavs team 115-108.

The 4x NBA MVP did not show any mercy to his former team. In their first matchup of the season, LeBron scored a season-high 46 points, accompanied by 8 rebounds and 6 assists. LeBron’s performance was complemented by Anthony Davis’ double-double, as he scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Anthony Davis talks about when he knew LeBron James would have a BIG Night

After the game, Anthony Davis was asked how does the team adjust when LeBron James is having a big night. AD wittily replied by saying, ‘we just get out of the way’.

Anthony Davis spoke about how it was LeBron’s first game at home, and how after the first quarter itself, AD knew it was going to be a big performance from LeBron. In the interview, Davis also said,

“Late in the game, I think, he hit three threes, got to the basket, got the steal for the dunk. He was everywhere on the floor. Making shots from everywhere. After the first quarter, I knew it’s going to be a good night for him.”

LeBron James had a huge fourth quarter, as he outscored the entire Cavs squad himself. The Lakers had 28 in the final period, 21 of which were scored by James, meanwhile, the Cavs could just manage to put up 19 on the board.

With the win tonight, the Lakers secured the top spot on the points table once again. The Lakers face their next big big challenge on Wednesday, as they face the Sixers.
