The Los Angeles Lakers finished a three-game home stand where they went 2-1. After losing to Jayson Tatum and the Celtics, they beat the Nuggets and the Wizards. LeBron James led the rally for the last two games, scoring 30 and 33 points in the two contests, respectively.

Last night, the Lakers took down the Wizards 119-117 on a missed game-winner by Kyle Kuzma.

Playing his 20th season in the NBA, LeBron is averaging 27 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. These are the most points averaged by any player in their 20th season.

The Lakers now head to Phoenix for their 2nd matchup of the season. Fans wonder why both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are out for the contest.

Why is LeBron James not playing tonight?

LeBron James played 37 minutes in their win over the Washington Wizards last night. Ever since that game ended, there was a probability that the King would be rested for the second night of the back-to-back.

The Lakers issued their injury report not too long ago, which confirmed the same.

Considering how Anthony Davis is already hurt and would miss a significant amount of time, the Lakers would not want to take any risks with the other superstar they have active and healthy.

What might help the Lakers is that Devin Booker and Cam Payne are also out for tonight’s matchup.
