“You Gon Drink That Beer Again?”: Jimmy Butler’s Game 4 Antics Come Back To Bite Him As Fans Troll His Game 5 Press Conference

Things are starting to get scarier for the Miami Heat. Behind Derrick White’s 24-point outing, the Boston Celtics clinched a 110-97 victory, now trailing just 3-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals. Lodging his worst performance of this postseason, Jimmy Butler recorded only 14 points and a box plus-minus of -24. With Jimmy Buckets seeming to be much more concerned after the Game 5 loss, fans have been trolling him with his “drink some beers” comments from the previous loss interview.

After the previous loss at the Kaseya Center, a calm and collected Butler told the media about his plans in order to bounce back. The 6-foot-7 forward revealed listening to music, drinking beers and wine, and slightly shifting his focus away from basketball.

“Just stay consistent,” Butler said. “Do the same things that I do, that we do after every game. We’re going to listen to some music, you know. Going to drink some beers back there. Going to have some wine. I don’t think you can just focus on basketball at times. You have to be able to get away from the game a little bit.”

However, the 33-year-old had a polar opposite reply while talking about recalibrating after Game 5’s loss.

When asked about the Celtics’ back-to-back wins, the superstar spoke about being positive. In the response unlike Game 4’s postgame comment, the former Marquette star guaranteed his team winning the series.

“We are always going to stay positive knowing that we can and we will win this series. We’ll just close it out at home.”

Fans couldn’t help but troll Butler for the change in his attitude following both losses.

Further, several users even mocked the 6-time All-Star for “disappearing” since the Heat’s 3-0 lead.

What can the Heat do to win in Game 6?

The Boston Celtics have played some brave basketball in the last two games. While the Heat’s role players such as Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson, and others have been doing a good job, Butler needs to command more control of the ball.

Over the previous two games, Jimmy didn’t have the ball in his hands as often as we’ve seen during the first-round series against the Bucks and the first 3 games of the ECF.

As great a team as the Florida-based franchise is, the fact of the matter is that they’ll only go as far as Jimmy takes them.

Apart from Gabe Vincent’s much-needed return, Erik Spoelstra will need another Jimmy Butler masterclass performance in order to emerge victoriously in Game 6.
