KG certified had one of its youngest guests this time around, Shilo Sanders. Shilo was recently interviewed by the Boston Celtics duo Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Garnett even tried to get a beef started between Shilo and his father Deion Sanders, by mentioning Shilo’s recent celebration after a touchdown.

Kevin mentioned that Shilo didn’t go with his father’s iconic celebration, but Shilo explained that the celebration was for his Alma Mater, Jackson State.
KG and Pierce interview Coach Prime and Shilo
KG and Paul Piece recently visited Boulder to interview Coach Prime and his son Shilo. Kevin Garnett even tried to start a beef between the son and father, mentioning how Shilo preferred his Alma Mater’s celebration over his father’s. Kevin while trying to instigate Shilo said ” I noticed when your brother, when he scored, he did your father’s dance. And when you scored you went with the band, HBCU, did I catch that right or am I seeing things? ” Shilo would quickly clarify that the dance was a tribute to his alma mater, Jackson State, telling KG ” I graduated from Jackson State, so I gotta show love and all. “
Paul would later point out how much of an impact Shilo and his father are having at the University of Colorado. Pierce and Kevin were quick to mention that Coach Prime is having a great effect on the HBCU culture. With Coach Prime at the helm, the football program at the University of Colorado is getting insane press for sure. The program is performing decently, starting with a 4-3 record as of now. The recent loss to Stanford had to have stung, as the game was fumbled during the very last minutes.
Shilo points out similarities between Deion and KG
Shilo did ask Kevin Garnett an important question. The young star asked KG if he would ever coach in college basketball. To which KG completely refused. He told Shilo that” Kids’ effort these days is not up to what I would like to see. Because game speed is game speed. There is nothing cool about the game “. Kevin shot down the possibility quickly, but Garnett sure would do wonders for younger locker rooms in the NBA.”
Shilo found the response funny cause his father had given him the same argument for staying away from the NFL coaching stage. The two retired stars mutually agreed that discipline was something that was lacking in this generation as a whole. Opinions aside, this season of College Football is something to look out for, as the team straps up for a spot at March Madness.
