Nelson Semedo: Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs vying for Barcelona defender as Nelson Semedo seeks for more prominent role.

Nelson Semedo have been impressive with Barcelona, whenever he got an opportunity to feature for the Catalan club. The amount of pace and flair he provides to Barcelona are laudable.

However, it seems that the Portuguese defender is not happy with his situation at the club as he has to compete with Sergi Roberto at the right side of defense.

Since, Sergi Roberto is preferred over him by Ernesto Valverde. Hence, he is willing to seek more pro-active role elsewhere.

Therefore, according to a report by the Sun, Mancheter United and Tottenham Hotspurs are ready to hire the services of Semedo.

Ole Solskjaer’s side need immediate reinforcements in the defense as he had to play Ashley Young at the right-flank, since other alternatives at that position were not reliable to the Manchester United Manager. Hence, making the Portuguese International a viable option for the Red Devils.

Whereas, Spurs are also in a pursuit for the player as Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier both linked with a summer exit.

Nevertheless, The £30million-rated player would be a big bargain for any club considering his prowess in defense.

Although, it seems that Spurs might edge the deal if Semedo decides to leave Spain, as the London-based club will provide Champions league nights to the Barcelona defender unlike Manchester United.
