Neymar set to miss Man Utd clash: The PSG forward suffered an injury during the game against Strasbourg.
Neymar limped off the field in tears after suffering a metatarsal injury during the Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg earlier this week.
The concerns over the injury in the Paris Saint Germain camp grew as a result.
Earlier, PSG’s Marco Verratti also suffered with an injury during the side’s 9-0 win against Guingamp in the league.
While Thomas Tuchel has remained silent on Neymar’s injury so far, RMC Sport has a rather grave update for PSG fans as Neymar faces a race against time to regain fitness before the clash against Manchester United in the Champions League.
Neymar set to miss Man Utd clash:
PSG will take on Manchester United in the round of 16 of the Champions League next month.
While Neymar had earlier issued a warning for Manchester United ahead of the clash, his chances of participation in the tie’s first leg are set to take a massive hit.

Mirror (via RMC Sport) reports that Neymar is set to be ruled out for the clash. They claim that Neymar could hardly put weight on his right foot and has been told that he has no chance of coming back into action before the game against Manchester United.
The first leg of the clash will be played on February 12.
The report further claims that a possibility of surgery has not been entirely ruled out. Brazil’s national team doctor will meet PSG’s medical team in the coming week to hold discussions over the treatment of the injury.
If a surgery takes place, Neymar is also likely to miss the second leg against Manchester United.
Earlier, Thomas Tuchel stated that the side has to find solutions in the absence of Neymar and Verratti.
This is a very open tie now and anyone can qualify through to the next round. However, Neymar is PSG’s main man and Tuchel has built the team around him as well. He will be a massive loss for them. Will be a good watch for neutrals. https://t.co/9LSXZ8sbP2

“It’s horrible that’s certain, after Marco Verratti, now Ney,” said Tuchel.
“They are key players, players with great quality, quality extraordinary, they are missed greatly but at the same time, it is our challenge to find a solution.”
