$10,000,000 Worth Joe Burrow Admitted Living in a Movie-Themed Room in His Parent’s House Even After 2020 Draft; “Curtains are Still Star Wars”
Bengals star QB Joe Burrow has already amassed a net worth of $10,000,000 in his three years in the NFL. However, not a lot of people know that he was still living in his parent’s house even after he was drafted into the big league in 2020. He even joked about it once, claiming he was still staying in his Star Wars-themed room which he decorated as a kid.
A month after the Cincinnati Bengals drafted the star LSU QB prospect, Joe Burrow appeared in an interview with Barstool Sports where he candidly talked about living with his parents despite becoming a millionaire. To put it in perspective, Burrow signed a $36,100,000 four-year rookie contract with the Bengals.
Millionaire Joe Burrow Lived With His Parents Even After the Draft
Joe Burrow was a five-star QB prospect heading into the 2020 NFL Draft. His National Championship season backed his skills as a Heisman Winner signal caller and it was presumed that he would be drafted first overall since Cincinnati was on the lookout for a quarterback. Which is exactly what happened, and since he was picked first overall, he was all set to bag big money.
Despite his enormous feat, Burrow took some time before he bought his own mansion. And till then, he was admittedly living with his parents in his childhood home. During his interview with Barstool Sports, he mentioned how his father would make jokes about him, “My dad likes to make jokes that I’m a 23-year-old millionaire living in my parent’s basement.”
Burrow’s childhood home was purchased by his parents in 2005 for $240,000 when he was still nine years old. The house is located in Cul-de-sac in the Plains of Athens County in Ohio. Later in 2020, Burrow bought his first estate in Columbia-Tusculum for a whopping $835,000.
Burrow Is a Big Star Wars Fanboy
Before buying his first crib in his interview with Barstool Sports, he stated that he was sleeping in his childhood bedroom one month after the draft. When asked about the size of the bed, Burrow stated that he had to upgrade it when he was in high school and it was a king size which was enough for him to fit in. However, what made it even more hilarious was when Burrow admitted that the entire room was Star Wars-themed.
He was then asked how many Star Wars posters he had on his wall. “Two I think. But I changed them so the comforters were Star Wars,” he replied. “I think the curtains are still Star Wars but the comforter is no longer Star Wars.” It was enough evidence for someone to deduce that Burrow is a big Star Wars geek by that.
